Blackberry Hills is happened to be also a host of a large number of moths, insects and beetles and many of them are seasonal visitors. We believe that the pesticide and insecticide free organic environment is very healthy habitat for these humble creatures. We are in the process of identifying them; our guests contributions towards the same will be most appreciated. A few pictures of moths would give you a glimpse of them like the giant tiger moth and altas moth. Bird Watchers will easily find the Malabar Whistling thrush, or the “Whistling School boy ” – so named for its uncanny whistle – and the golden-backed woodpecker. The Kingfisher, bulbul, jungle fowl, black eagle, kestrel, crow peasant, quail, green and imperial pigeon, grey hornbill and others can also be sighted. At Blackerry Hills Estate the good number of birds approximately 52 varieties have been spotted in the last season.
