The Hornbill Restaurant is named after the Great Hornbill, a vulnerable species that is indigenous to the region surrounding many of the best nature resorts in Munnar. We pay homage to this beautiful species by embracing eco-friendly practices and sustainable methods in all our culinary and fine dining activities.
We practise sustainable dining. We breed our own seafood on the premises of our nature resort in Munnar. All organic wastes from the Hornbill are transformed into natural fish food to enrich and nurture them. The fish are picked and responsibly handled in order to sustain their population and uphold the biodiversity in the region.
