The Hornbill Restaurant

Hornbill the restaurant at Blackberry Hills Retreat & Spa is dedicated to all nature lovers and bird watchers. The great Indian hornbill is a symbol of Mother Nature and love for the mankind. As you see and experience, Blackberry Hills is magnificently blessed by mother nature; and we are only the proud guardians. In our own humble way, we are trying to help preserve the environment; by growing more fruit bearing trees for birds and host plants for butterflies. So that the days of breeze, berries and birds will not be a long lost dream for us and the next generation.

The Hornbill Restaurant

At Blackberry Hills, there are more than 52 varieties of birds that we were able to spot during the last season. They include, some endangered ones like the Emerald dove and Malabar laughing thrush and more common birds like the red vented bulbul and whistling thrush, minivets, wagtails, and Kestrels. This green restaurant is named after the great Indian hornbill as it is an endangered species and symbol of the fragile nature we are living in. Also we would like to pay homage to three adventurous and tough men; Gen. Douglas Hamilton and the Kannan Devan brothers after whom these pristine hills are named.

Endless of feast for your taste buds and eyes! Bon Appétit!
